Growing up, I dreamed of being a professional ski racer. After over a decade of throwing my feeble body down ice-encrusted hellscapes all over New England, I hung up my skis. I parlayed the grit instilled in me as an athlete into a career in advertising. Working in the ‘biz has its challenges, but it’s nothing compared to your ski coach, Zimbo, barking at you to “stop bein’ a quiet” while your toes flirt with frostbite at the ripe old age of nine.
The Marcus Graham Project is an organization that brings diverse aspirants into the field of advertising and PR with the exposure and experience necessary to solidify careers within the industry. I am an alumnus of their iCr8 Bootcamp fellowship program and mentor rising advertising professionals who are currently in the program.
